About Us
Anglo Recycling was established in 2012, when we opened our first Worth its Weight shop in Hersham, Surrey. Originally known as Cash 4 Clothes, our mission was to offer communities a simple way to earn cash from the sale of their unwanted clothes and household items that otherwise may have ended up in landfill.
During this time we also expanded our schools collections growing the number of schools we collect from to over 2000 per year. We have been raising funds for schools since 2013.
And then the Covid-19 pandemic hit…
With our shops closed, our fleet of vans stood empty and grounded, so we decided to offer their use to local charities who we felt may be able to benefit from them during lockdown. This led to us helping to collect charitable donations from the doorsteps of many homes and businesses in the south of England.
And from that, the seed of Anglo Doorstep Collections was sown.
We realised that people across the UK didn’t have a simple and efficient way to help facilitate a home clear-out and to subsequently be able to donate their unwanted clothing and items to charity.
This meant many households would simply give up, with their items ending up being discarded and ultimately being sent to landfill. This did not sit comfortably with us. So we made it our mission to become the UKs number one, nationwide doorstep collection company.
Since its inception in 2020, Anglo Doorstep Collections has gone from strength to strength:

Keeping it Green
At Anglo Recycling, we are dedicated to recycling, reducing, and reusing those items that are no longer wanted, thereby reducing the demand for virgin resources and lessening the harmful emissions typically associated with waste management.
The benefits we make to the circular economy are significant; we play a pivotal role in keeping resources in use for as long as possible, thus extracting the maximum value from them whilst in use.
We ensure that people’s unwanted items become a resource, effectively closing the loop in the product life cycle, enhancing resource efficiency, and promoting sustainability.

Advance
Advance is a women-only charity, providing emotional and practical support to women. All our services are free and confidential. Our vision is a world in which women and children lead safe, equal, violence-free lives so that they can flourish and actively contribute to society. We do this through our mission of saving and changing lives, by working with women who experience domestic abuse to be safe and take control of their lives, and women who have committed crime or are at risk of offending to break the cycle.
